Introducing Fun City Adventure Park, Chick-fil-A, and exciting center improvements
Walpole, MA — The Walpole Mall is entering a new era with significant revitalization and redevelopment. In early 2023, Wilder led the acquisition strategy for the mall, believing that change creates opportunity and value. Since then, the company has rapidly transformed a dated interior mall into a contemporary open-air retail center.
Over the past year, Wilder has executed a multi-phased strategy to re-merchandise, reconfigure, and redevelop the shopping center, striving to restore its former vibrancy. Recent changes include the addition of new tenants: Chick-fil-A, which is slated to open soon, and Duck Donuts, which opened its first Massachusetts location. Panera Bread has also undergone extensive renovations to update to its latest prototype.
The property has seen contemporary hardscape and landscaping improvements, along with a renovated exterior façade. These upgrades, including improved lighting and enhanced landscaping, boost pedestrian safety and flow and create a more inviting environment for shoppers.
Wilder is excited to announce the addition of Fun City Adventure Park, a groundbreaking family entertainment destination set to open in late 2025 in what was formerly the 40,500-square-foot interior mall. The new attraction aims to offer cutting-edge entertainment options for all ages.
Ethan Zhang of Fun City expressed enthusiasm about introducing their innovative entertainment concept to Walpole. “Fun City is a premier entertainment destination because it seamlessly blends cutting-edge technology with classic fun. With various attractions, including trampolines, laser tag, arcade games, bowling, and a redemption center, it truly offers an unforgettable experience for the whole family,” Zhang stated.
The addition of Fun City is an essential aspect of Wilder’s vision for revitalizing Walpole Mall, offering an exciting experience that goes beyond shopping. “We understand that this redevelopment involves more than just physical structures; it’s about creating a dynamic, walkable, community-centered destination,” added Tom Wilder. “We believe that the changes we have implemented and those planned to complete this development will achieve this goal.”
As part of this final phase, in 2025 the property will also feature new public art, updated signage, essential roof repairs, and a rebranding campaign that reflects the center’s refreshed image.
